Our Story

Above Deck Entertainment is the first boutique entertainment company designed specifically to provide Broadway talent exclusively to the cruise industry.

With some of Broadway’s brightest (& biggest!) voices on our roster, members of the ADE family have floored audiences on vessels sailing the Caribbean, Canada, Europe, the Mediterranean & beyond.

Passengers on lines both commercial & private, luxury & non, have praised the talents of our brilliant vocalists, who together have over 300 Broadway credits to their names, including Rent, The Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia!, Cats, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Les Misérables, Mary Poppins, Hairspray & many more.

What could be more exciting for your passengers than setting sail with a Tony-winner for The Producers or The Drowsy Chaperone (Cady Huffman, Beth Leavel), a recent Billy Flynn from Chicago (Brent Barrett), or one of several Elphaba’s from Wicked (Julia Murney, Julie Reiber, Donna Vivino), all wrapping their powerhouse, golden vocal chords around some of Broadway & the pop world’s most beloved melodies, both new & old?

Let ADE handle a single sailing or a whole season for your cruise line. All of Broadway is standing by & ready to sail the Great White Waves!

Our Captain

Phil Geoffrey Bond fell in love with the sea at an early age & soon became a seasoned cruiser on a variety of lines, experiencing a wide array of cruise ship entertainment.

For more than fifteen years in New York, he has worked closely alongside the Broadway community as Director of Programming for three of Manhattan’s most esteemed & diverse live music venues: Feinstein’s/54 Below, The Laurie Beechman Theatre & The Duplex Cabaret Theatre, forging long-lasting relationships with some of the brightest stars of The Great White Way. His work as a Director/Producer/Writer/Host has been seen on stages ranging from Performing Arts Centers all across the United States as well as more intimate venues in the heart of New York’s theatre district.

While at The Duplex, he re-invented the midtown venue as a home for Broadway artists, both legendary & up-&-coming. At the Beechman, his celebrated series, Voices From the Great White Way, was a long-running sell out, featuring one night only concerts from some of Broadway’s best. And finally, at Feinstein’s/54 Below, he created many series, including the award-winning (& still running!) 54 Sings…, which explores the music from various Broadway shows, often featuring original cast members.

Mr. Bond is the recipient of seven MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets) Awards, as well as two Bistro Awards & the Broadway World & Nightlife Awards on behalf of his work on cabaret & concert stages. He continues to produce & host the popular Sondheim Unplugged, a monthly happening at Feinstein’s/54 Below, now starting its eighth year.
