Tony nominee EMILY SKINNER has unequivocally established herself as one of Broadway’s most engaging & versatile performers. She may be best known for her portrayal of Daisy Hilton in the much loved musical, Side Show, but her Broadway repertoire spans a half dozen shows, including leading roles in Jekyll & Hyde, James Joyce’s The Dead, The Full Monty, Dinner at Eight (Outer Critics Circle nomination) & Billy Elliot: The Musical, as well as Actors Fund benefit productions of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas & Dreamgirls. But her solo concert, Broadway, Her Way, which has played to acclaim at various performing arts centers across the country, is truly something special. Whether she’s belting out Ursula’s song from The Little Mermaid (Poor Unfortunate Souls), or providing her own unique take on standards such as More Than You Know & Come Up & See Me Sometime, or lending her intelligent, full bodied voice to Broadway treasures such as When You’re Good to Mama or Send in the Clowns, an evening with Emily is truly something magnificent that lingers happily in the memory. Having performed many times at Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops, she has also appeared as a solo artist with the Pittsburgh Symphony, Virginia Symphony, Dallas Symphony, & the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestras. Emily has headlined at popular New York City venues such as Merkin Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Town Hall, Joe’s Pub at the Public Theatre, Birdland, Feinstein’s/54 Below, & Lincoln Center’s American Songbook Series. In addition to her many performances with some of the most esteemed regional theaters in the country, including The Kennedy Center, Signature Theatre & San Diego’s Old Globe, Emily recently created a role in Hal Prince’s new musical The Prince of Broadway, which is slated to be a part of the 2017 Broadway season!
