There are powerhouse voices, & then there are POWERHOUSE voices. JESSICA HENDY is the later. While she can blow you away one minute with the sheer magnitude of her brilliant vocal instrument, she’ll melt your heart the next with her poignant honesty & sheer intelligence. Ms. Hendy’s history with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats began when she played Grizabella (who memorably sings Memory) in the closing company of the original Broadway production. Since then, she’s played the role on tour & regionally, & she can currently be found performing the same role in the critically-acclaimed Broadway revival. Additional Broadway credits include Aida (Amneris), & Amour. Last Spring, she made her Radio City Music Hall debut in The New York Spring Spectacular, alongside the world famous Rockettes. Other touring & regional credits include Diana in Next to Normal, the Narrator in Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Ellen in Miss Saigon & Songs for a New World with Jason Robert Brown. Her countless concert appearances include stints with the Cincinnati Pops, Modesto Symphony, Long Beach Symphony, Ft. Worth Symphony, Grand Rapids Symphony, Kentucky Symphony, Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, Princeton Symphony Orchestra & the Calgary Philharmonic. She regularly tours with Stephen Schwartz (composer of Wicked, Godspell, Pippin) as a special guest vocalist in his concert, Stephen Schwartz & Friends, in which she can be heard performing her tour-de-force rendition of his song, Defying Gravity.
