From Abba to Sondheim, with a little bit of everything in between, KAREN MASON sings ‘em all, & better than just about anybody around. Whether it’s The Winner Takes it All, Something’s Coming or Everything’s Coming Up Roses, Karen’s voice will knock your socks off one moment, & capture your heart the next. A mainstay (& for very good reason) on the New York club scene, Karen’s Broadway credits include Hairspray, Mamma Mia! (in which she created the role of Tanya, garnering her a Drama Desk nomination), Sunset Boulevard (taking over the role of Norma Desmond from Glenn Close), Jerome Robbins Broadway, Torch Song Trilogy, Play Me a Country Song & Wonderland. Off-Broadway, Karen was a part of the original cast of Kander & Ebb’s long-running hit musical revue, And the World Goes Round, & received another Drama Desk nomination for her performance in Carnival. Further, her solo concert, Karen Mason Sings Broadway, Beatles & Brian enjoyed a critically-acclaimed run at New York’s Minetta Lane Theatre. For her unparalleled work on the cabaret & concert stage, as well as in recognition of her six dazzling CD’s, Karen has been awarded twelve MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabaret’s), three Bistro & the Nightlife Award. It doesn’t get any better!
